A Part of Our Lives...
We are trying to update our blog, but alas, this update shall be with words only, until the computer allows me to add our dazzeling pictures....urgh...
Over the course of a few months, big changes have happened! Derek has moved back home, Jenni and Julie moved back to Tennessee, Dalton has graduated seminary, Daniel and Nicole have announced a baby on the way!, wedding receptions have come and gone, and the sun has tried to shine!
Sunday night, Dalton spoke at his Seminary Graduation about missionary preparation. Through laughter and tears, he taught with the spirit, and profoundly impressed us all to be a missionary now!
Austin keeps us laughing every hour (mostly at him, not with). Stake dances fill this boy with adrenaline all the time, and he eagerly awaits each one. Just recently he persuaded Hannah to attend her first dance, and he treated her like a queen as he escorted her to the door :)
Derek has upgraded his status in life. He now claims a girlfriend, and we all adore her. Life has been sooo much fun having his personality to add to every-day-living!
Destinee diligently plans new and exciting activities for the Young Single Adults. But is certainly enjoying this stage of life, and finds new, pleasant adventures around every corner.
Hannah is next to a professional ballerina! Seeing her perform in the ballet Swan Lake impressed each of us at how talented this girl is! It has only been a few months since beginning ballet, but she glides and spins as though she has been doing it for years!
Dare and Dee are as lovey-dovey as ever! Smooching in front of the children keeps the fire alive;) Both love to be together, and hate when time separates them :)

November Birthdays!!
And Serenity knows that's a joke because Mom, Dad, Dest, and Han had fun celebrating Ren's birthday by making a surprise birthday stop in St. George. Yes, she was quite surprised. All the girls had fun soaking up that warm St. George weather too, I might add.
So here is the chum, 18 yr. old, Dalton! What a big boy!
He really is the center ripple in all the laughter at the Allen household.
The two cousins, Kyla and Charity, are learning now that there is potential to be best friends :)
Now here is another reason why there is so much laughter in the house...
Just look at the crew! Aren't we precious! We could take over any ole joint in town.
Halloween Time!!

Long Time No Post
So first off Derek is home! (ok you probably knew that). But did you know he's already had his first date? Since I never asked permission to post that info (although I'm sure you could have guessed) You'll have to ask him for the details...
So, the weekend of Derek's welcome home (I think you all know what I mean if I use that term) Hannah got a pretty bad case of the flu...
(That was an old picture but I found it fitting) That's right, all weekend. The whole time family and friends were gathering Hannah was confined upstairs to the bedroom :( It gets worse. They had postponed a trip to Wyoming because she was sick, but when it finally looked like she was on the mend (about day five of the flu) they headed out . Half way across the state they stopped at a gas station where (not too sure of the details here but...) Hannah fainted. Luckily there was a nurse there (not so much luck, I guess, as a blessing). She recommended Hannah be seen by a doctor. So they turned around and drove all the way back to Primary Children's. They immediately put an IV in her to rehydrate her. After that Hannah was completely better! You wouldn't even have guessed she was sick...
And just for fun I wanted to throw a picture of my dad's birthday cake in from December. I'll let you count the candles if you're curious ;)...
